Information for French River Resorts Association Accommodations and Services: Visitor services and about the French River Resorts Association facilities are provided at the new French River Visitor Center in the vicinity of the river, the French River Trading Post Visitor Center, at various French River tourist establishments along the river, service areas along Highway 69, and Sudbury Visitor Information Center - Rainbow Travel. At these various centers you can find general information on visitor services, accommodation, canoeing, camping, outfitter, and guides plus this information can be obtained from French River Resorts Association website and each resort business member site.

The French River Park is uncharted waterways and hydro topographic maps are not currently available for purchase. Pristine waters remain as it was some 300 years ago when the French River was the main waterway for transportation. Topographic maps for the French River, Georgian Bay, Northern Ontario, Canada can be purchased from most tourist resort operators in the French River Resorts Association.

June 1, 2009 - the final implementation date for requiring a passport to enter the United States from Canada by land or sea. Passports to enter Canada and return to US requires a passport.  All land travelers must have a photo ID, original birth certificate or passport.
